Five Things I'm Fake Shopping Right Now
Because I have a shopping disease but also like having money in my bank account, sometimes I do this thing called "fake shopping." This can be practiced in real life or virtual life. In real life, you walk around the store, admire the pretty things on hangers, grab the few that you really really love and as you're heading towards the cash register, DROP THEM AND RUN! Similarly, in fake online shopping, you fill your cart up with everything you want and then CLICK OUT ASAP. You basically distract your brain by saying "yeah, yeah lets buy this, it's great" and then go like "just kidding!" and run. Sometimes it works, (alot of)sometimes it doesn't.
Anyway, these are some of the things I'm fake buying right now:
I LOVE midi skirts and I've had this one in my etsy cart for about two months now.
If I had hundreds of dollars to spend on jewelry, I'd buy this amazing Dannijo necklace. Right now I'm praying someone will send this design to China and have Forever 21 manufacture and sell it for $15.95.

My heart is probably leopard printed. I already own (multiple) leopard print shoes but this one pair from Madewell could only improve my quality of life.

Also, FLOWER JEANS??? Yes please!!!! The ones below (and there's a white version) are from Anthro/Citizen of Humanity but I'm waiting for them to trickle down to F21, Zaras etc.
Lastly, I've been wanting one of these maxi skirts from American Apparel since last spring but I realized they're too damn long for me...no comment.
Colors make me a more interesting person. Probably.
So Bobo I have been trying to mix it up with colors. But I have also been extremely lazy lately. Solution? Bright blue nail polish! I like it. It makes me look more interesting than I really am.

Versailles
Versailles was probably one of my favorite places to visit in Paris. It was utterly larger than life and fantastical in every way. I felt like I was walking around a movie set except it was real.
Cathedral in the Palace.
I like this picture because it features my whiteboy twin. And his sister.
The Room of Mirrors: this is where they had parties. It has seventeen large windows overlooking the gardens and across from the windows in the room, there are large mirrors to reflect the light and basically make the room as grand as possible. P.I.M.P!
Learning some knowledge that I promptly forgot.
Later we went to the Lourve and I was thrilled to recognize a painting I'd studied/taught while I was at Berkeley: the Odalisque. Yes, I felt very smart, it was great. Note my mouth is genuinely opened in surprise.

Paris in My Closet
Paris was the shit, literally and figuratively. Umar and I renamed our street Le Grand Poopoo one night (this was only one of the many <<terrible>> french related jokes we came up with. I'll leave the rest for ones imagination)
Here are some pictures taken by my partner in crime.
Walking towards the Eiffel Tower on the first night
Those polka dot socks make everything better in my life
Apparently, in France, people read books in French! Who knew...
My nails taking a subway ride
I have some more juicy pictures to come shortly.

I'm in the Desert, son!
Dress by Tatiana. She made the wings and put them on this vintage dress from an estate sell. Pretty genius.
Pink bike with a basket. So much fun.

So, lessons so far of 2012: watch out for the poop in Paris and don't ever go to a casino in Palm Springs (unless you gave up on life).
Ok Bobo, go! Show me those Parisian teats.
